In the South, specifically in Louisiana, it's all about family, good times and football it seems. LSU football to be even more exact.

Shelly and Larry {their names even rhyme!} are the truest form of that statement. They each have a deep love for family and friends, they are the most spontaneously fun people and they are absolutely crazy about LSU football. Now, being a big LSU Tiger fan myself, I felt that the opportunity to photograph their wedding was... well, a match made in heaven, of course!

For this Louisiana girl, it was a treat to get back down into the bayou for a 12-12-12 wedding! The town of Natchitoches is the oldest permanent settlement of the Louisiana Purchase and a place full of historical wonder!

But for me, what made this day even more special and unique, were their kids. The combinations of two families into one.

Larry (groom) walked down the aisle with his daughter, Faith, who would also stand beside Shelly as a bridesmaid. His son, "little" Larry, walking ahead to stand beside his dad as the Best Man.

Shelly (bride) was escorted down the aisle by her son, Sean. Her daughter, Kylie, having walked ahead of her to stand with her mom as a bridesmaid.

And to top it off, the maid of honor was a dear friend of mine from North Carolina! For the time I was there, I was made to feel a part of a very close knit family. Shelly made sure I had a room in their cottage and I spent two amazing nights not only working but having an incredible time!

As they say down in my home state, "Laissez les laissez les bon temps rouler!"

Love and Blessings,

Désirée
