While it was late April, the weather was unusually chilly and the trees still barren from the winter in Emerson, Iowa.
For me, the opportunity to shoot this wedding was particularly special. Barb and I, along with many present friends, served alongside each other in the Air Force a few years ago. But we had an incredible friendship that continues to stand the test of time and distance. While our lives have diverged and taken us both down some very unexpected roads, I am ecstatic to see my dear friend so happy and in love.
This little farm in Iowa represents to Barb and Nate, as well as many of their friends, a place of refuge and escape. It is here where the journey of their hearts truly began. It is here where they decided to close the circle on that journey and exchange their vows. This place was perfect for them. Rustic, beautiful, simple and a place to let go.
Surrounded by close friends and family, bonfires, BBQ, crisp chilly weather and a ton of fun-loving people, this night was epic.
Congratulations Barb and Nate! I love you guys!
